Greg Poppleton with his 1930s Trio play at the launch of the Merrigong Theatre 2024 season, Wollongong.
Greg and the band play the songs of the 1930s from 6:30pm – 7:15pm
From 7:15 – 8pm there’s a Welcome to Country, announcements and DJ.
Then the Merrigong premieres its season from 8 – 9pm and includes a cabaret on 1930s-50s Australian singer, Nellie Small.
Greg was part of an expert panel on Nellie Small at a State Library of NSW event earlier this year.
With Greg Poppleton singing the songs of the 1920s-30s will by Damon Poppleton on alto sax, Bradley Newman on piano keyboard, and Dave Clayton on the double bass
